Allen is the Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine & Sports Performance and Men’s Head Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a Board Certified Sports Physical Therapy Specialist, a Certified Athletic Trainer, and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. Allen is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the United States Olympic Committee Sports Medicine Society. He previously served on the Executive Board of the APTA Sports Physical Therapy Section and was a co-founder of the Sports Section’s Intercollegiate & Professional Sports Special Interest Group. He was the recipient of the 1997 SPTS New Horizon Award, the 2003 SPTS Clinical Education Award, and the 2010 SPTS Outstanding Service Award.
